Ο μικρός Desmond, ο οποίος έγινε γνωστός το 2015 ως Desmond is Amazing, όταν παρευρέθηκε στο Pride Parade της Νέας Υόρκης τα τελευταία χρόνια έχει χρησιμοποιήσει τη συνεχώς αυξανόμενη φήμη του για να υπερασπιστεί τα δικαιώματα της κοινότητας LGTBQ.

Μάλιστα, ο ίδιος έχει ιδρύσει το πρώτο σπίτι για άτομα της drag κοινότητας κάτω των 20 ετών, το οποίο ονομάζεται «Haus of Amazing» και αναμένεται να ανοίξει σύντομα.

Αυτή ήταν η πρώτη φορά που ο δεκάχρονος από το Μπρούκλιν περπάτησε στην πασαρέλα, η οποία στέφθηκε από απόλυτη επιτυχία.
